SidelineHD adds overlays and sends your livestreams directly to YouTube and Facebook for your team community.

Stream to YouTube

Step 1: Prepare your channel for livestreaming

  • If you don't have a YouTube channel, or you have never streamed to the channel you want to connect, YouTube makes you verify it for livestreaming. Learn how to do so here.
  • If you have streamed to the channel you want to connect, continue to the next step.

Step 2: Link your channel

  • Sign into the sidelineHD website
  • Go to the "Streaming" tab.
  • Under "Livestreaming destination", select the "Link YouTube" button.
  • Follow the prompts provided.
  • When you see your channel listed on the page next to the "Unlink YouTube" button, then you're all set!
  • If you get a message saying, "Your YouTube channel is not enabled to stream live video," then see this article to verify your channel.

Stream to Facebook

Step 1: Prepare your page, group or profile for livestreaming

  • If you don’t have a Facebook Page to stream to, create one. Learn how to do so here.
  • If you have a page or profile you want to stream to, continue to the next step.

Step 2: Link your profile, page, or group

Linking a Facebook Page or Profile

  • Sign into the sidelineHD website
  • Go to the "Streaming" tab.
  • Under "Livestreaming destination", select the "Link Facebook" button.
  • If you are prompted to log into Facebook, then do that. If you are automatically signed in to an incorrect account, go to facebook.com on the same browser, and log out of your account. When you select "Link Facebook" again, this time you should be prompted to log in.

  • You will then see options to choose where you want to stream. If you don't see the Page you're looking for, check that you are logged in to the correct Facebook account, and that the account has Admin privileges to the Page.
  • Select the Profile or Page of your choice, and then select "Save".
  • If your Facebook page is greyed our or missing, it may be because you are not a page admin.  See this article to check your admin status.
  • If you see the "Unlink Facebook" button, then you're all set!
